Delegația EOC, formată din Peter Brull – Director Sport EOC și Michaela Uskova – Coordonator Sport EOC, a fost primită de președintele COSR Mihai Covaliu, secretarul general COSR George Boroi și secretarul general adjunct Florin Miscă. La discuții au fost invitați: Tánczos Barna, vicepremier al Guvernului României, Bogdan Matei, președintele Agenției Naționale pentru Sport și Adrian Veștea – președintele Consiliului Județean Brașov.

Tema centrală: planul operațional și administrativ pentru FOTE Brașov 2027.

Reuniunea la care au participat șefi de departamente din cadrul COSR și cei care vor fi implicați în organizare, s-a concentrat pe:

• definitivarea planului operațional și administrativ al evenimentului,

• analiza infrastructurii sportive și logistice,

• coordonarea interinstituțională,

• program competițional, cotă de participare

• calendarul etapelor de implementare.

Participanții au subliniat că experiența acumulată de România la FOTE 2013 reprezintă un punct de plecare solid în organizarea ediției din 2027, oferind repere valoroase pentru procesele logistice și operaționale.

Vicepremierul Tánczos Barna a reafirmat în fața reprezentanților EOC sprijinul Guvernului:

„România are șansa de a organiza o nouă competiție olimpică europene. Este o provocare pentru noi, sprijinim echipa de la COSR în organizare și, chiar dacă știm că nu e ușor să coordonezi un astfel de eveniment, suntem pregătiți să contribuim la succesul lui.”

„FOTE Brașov 2027 este unul dintre cele mai importante proiecte sportive pe care România le găzduiește în următorii ani. Un astfel de eveniment nu aduce doar competiții de nivel european, ci și oportunități de dezvoltare pentru sport la nivel de juniori, pentru infrastructura sportivă și pentru comunitățile locale. Colaborarea dintre COSR, Guvernul României, Consiliul Județean Brașov și primăria Brașov, alături de primăriile localităților în care vor avea loc întrecerile, este excelentă și reprezintă temelia pe care construim succesul acestei ediții. Doar împreună putem oferi sportivilor tineri condițiile și experiența pe care o merită”, a sublinat Mihai Covaliu, președintele COSR.

Președintele ANS, Bogdan Matei a punctat: „Suntem împreună în aceeași echipă și avem același obiectiv: organizarea unei ediții FOTE de care România să fie mândră. Colaborarea strânsă dintre COSR, autoritățile centrale și locale, precum și sprijinul EOC, ne oferă garanția că putem construi un eveniment de nivel european la Brașov. Este important ca fiecare instituție implicată să-și aducă aportul, pentru ca sportivii să beneficieze de cele mai bune condiții.”

Secretarul general al COSR a subliniat rolul Comitetului Olimpic și Sportiv Român în coordonarea eforturilor naționale. „COSR va fi puntea de legătură dintre EOC și nevoile Comitetului de Organizare și Guvern, respectiv autoritățile locale. Este esențial ca toate instituțiile implicate să colaboreze eficient pentru ca FOTE Brașov 2027 să fie un succes.”

Referitor la primele discuții cu reprezentanții EOC de la Casa Olimpică, secretarul general adjunct al COSR a punctat: „Abordăm aspecte legate de competiții, probe și cote de participare, dar și elemente esențiale privind infrastructura și locațiile FOTE. De asemenea, discutăm despre sistemele operaționale ale Comitetului de Organizare, care trebuie aliniate standardelor europene și cerințelor ediției din 2027.”

Discuțiile vor continua cu participarea Comitetului de Organizare FOTE Brașov 2027, care va prezenta evoluția proiectelor, statusul infrastructurii și prioritățile operaționale.

Conducerea COSR a reafirmat că FOTE Brașov 2027 este un proiect strategic pentru sportul românesc, iar colaborarea cu EOC, Guvernul României și autoritățile locale reprezintă fundamentul unei ediții de referință.

Preparations for EYOF Brașov 2027 discussed with the EOC delegation

The Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee (ROSC) is hosting a two-day working meeting with representatives of the Association of European Olympic Committees (EOC), in the context of preparations for the European Youth Olympic Festival – EYOF Brașov 2027.

The EOC delegation, consisting of Peter Brull – EOC Sports Director and Michaela Uskova – EOC Sports Coordinator, was welcomed by ROSC President Mihai Covaliu, Secretary General George Boroi, and Deputy Secretary General Florin Miscă. Also invited to the discussions were: Tánczos Barna – Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Romania, Bogdan Matei – President of the National Agency for Sport, and Adrian Veștea – President of the Brașov County Council.

Central theme: the operational and administrative plan for EYOF Brașov 2027.

The meeting, attended by ROSC department heads and those who will be involved in the organization, focused on:

·        finalizing the operational and administrative plan of the event,

·        analysis of sports and logistical infrastructure,

·        interinstitutional coordination,

·        competition program and participation quotas,

·        implementation timeline and milestones.

Participants emphasized that the experience gained by Romania during EYOF 2013 represents a solid starting point for organizing the 2027 edition, providing valuable benchmarks for logistical and operational processes.

Deputy Prime Minister Tánczos Barna reaffirmed the Government’s support in front of the EOC representatives:
“Romania has the opportunity to host another European Olympic competition. It is a challenge for us; we support the ROSC team in the organization and, even though we know it is not easy to coordinate such an event, we are ready to contribute to its success.”

“EYOF Brașov 2027 is one of the most important sports projects that Romania will host in the coming years. Such an event brings not only European-level competitions, but also development opportunities for junior sport, sports infrastructure, and local communities. The collaboration between ROSC, the Government of Romania, the Brașov County Council and the Brașov City Hall, together with the local administrations of the host venues, is excellent and represents the foundation on which we are building the success of this edition. Only together can we offer young athletes the conditions and experience they deserve,” said ROSC President Mihai Covaliu in opening the discussions.

The President of the National Agency for Sport, Bogdan Matei, highlighted:
“We are together on the same team and we share the same objective: organizing an EYOF edition that Romania can be proud of. The close cooperation between ROSC, central and local authorities, as well as the support of the EOC, gives us confidence that we can deliver a European-level event in Brașov. It is important that every institution involved contributes, so that athletes benefit from the best possible conditions.”

The ROSC Secretary General underlined the role of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee in coordinating national efforts:
“ROSC will be the bridge between the EOC and the needs of the Organizing Committee and the Government, as well as local authorities. It is essential that all involved institutions work efficiently together for EYOF Brașov 2027 to be a success.”

Referring to the initial discussions with the EOC representatives at the Olympic House, the ROSC Deputy Secretary General noted:
“We are addressing aspects related to competitions, events, and participation quotas, as well as essential elements regarding EYOF infrastructure and venues. We are also discussing the operational systems of the Organizing Committee, which must be aligned with European standards and the requirements of the 2027 edition.”

Discussions will continue with the participation of the EYOF Brașov 2027 Organizing Committee, which will present the progress of projects, the status of infrastructure, and operational priorities.

ROSC leadership reaffirmed that EYOF Brașov 2027 is a strategic project for Romanian sport, and that collaboration with the EOC, the Government of Romania, and local authorities represents the foundation of a landmark edition.
