La Campionatele Europene de haltere care se desfășoară la Erevan, în Armenia, în perioada 19 - 23 aprilie, competiție care contează pentru calificările la Jocurile Olimpice Paris 2024, Mihaela Cambei a cucerit trei medalii de aur în limitele categoriei 49 kg, unde a terminat cu totalul de 198 kg, 92 kg, la stilul smuls si 106 kg, la stilul aruncat.
Mihaela a stabilit și două noi recorduri europene, la stilul smuls și la total cu 92, respectiv 198 kg.
Cosmina Pană a deschis drumul României spre podium cu cele două medalii de argint câștigate în limitele categoriei 45 kg. Cosmina a terminat pe locul 2 atât la total cu 153 kg, cât și la stilul smuls, cu 70 kg. La stilul aruncat, unde a reușit să ridice 83 kg, a fost pe locul 4.
Bianca Dumitrescu a obtinut o clasare pe locul 4, la stilul smuls, cu 67 kg și două clasări pe locul 5, la aruncat și la total cu 81 kg și 148 kg.
Update: România, încă trei medalii de AUR, una de ARGINT și două de BRONZ
Seria succeselor românești continuă la Europenele de la Erevan.
Andreea Cotruța a cucerit trei medalii de aur în limitele categoriei 55 kg, după ce a încheiat prima competițiile de la stilul smuls, cu 91 kg, și de la stilul aruncat, cu 110 Kg, iar la total a acumulat 201 Kg.
Valentin IANCU, la categoria 55 kg, a obținut două medalii de bronz: la total și la stilul smuls, cu 245 Kg, respectiv 109 kg, și una de argint, la stilul aruncat, cu 136 Kg.
Update: Loredana Toma, ultima reprezentată a României în întrecerile din cadrul Campionatelor Europene de haltere, a devenit campioană europeană pentru a cincea oară.
În limitele categoriei olimpice 71 kg, sportiva noastră s-a impus la cele două stiluri smuls și aruncat cu 110 kg, respectiv 130 kg, încheind la totalul olimpic cu 240 kg.

Romania, 14 medals at the European Weightlifting Championships for seniors

At the European Weightlifting Championships held in Yerevan, Armenia, from April 19 to 23, a competition that counts for the qualifications for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Romania won 14 medals: 9 GOLD, 3 SILVER, 2 BRONZE.
Mihaela Cambei won three gold medals in the 49 kg category, where she finished with a total of 198 kg, 92 kg, snatch style and 106 kg, throw style. Mihaela also set two new European records, in the snatch style and in total with 92 and 198 kg.
Cosmina Pană opened Romania's path to the podium with two silver medals won in the 45 kg category. Cosmina finished 2nd in both the all-around with 153kg and in the snatch with 70kg. In thrown style, where she managed to lift 83 kg, she was in 4th place.
