Luptătoarea Andreea Beatrice Ana a cucerit medalia de bronz la Campionatele Mondiale U23 de la Tirana, Albania, în limitele categoriei 55kg. Andreea a câștigat finala mică împotriva reprezentantei Ucrainei Mariia Vynnyk,pe care a învins-o cu scorul 3-1.

Este a patra medalie mondială la seniori U23 pentru Andreea după cele de bronz din 2018, 2019 și cea de aur din 2021.

Luptătoarea care va împlini 23 de ani pe 14 noiembrie are în palmares două titluri de campioană europeană de seniori cucerite la Budapesta, în 2022 și la Zagreb în 2023, Andreea Beatrice Ana fiind prima luptătoare din România care a urcat pe prima treapta a podiumului European.

Deși nu a împlinit 23 de ani, sportiva din Mangalia a participat la Jocurile Olimpice Tokyo 2020, iar acum visează la Paris 2024.

Bronze Medal for Romania in Wrestling

Wrestler Andreea Beatrice Ana has won the bronze medal at the U23 World Championships in Tirana, Albania, in the 55kg weight category. Andreea secured the victory in the bronze medal match against Ukraine's representative, Mariia Vynnyk, with a score of 3-1.

This marks Andreea's fourth world medal in the U23 senior category, following her bronze medals in 2018 and 2019, as well as her gold medal in 2021.

Andreea Beatrice Ana, who will celebrate her 23rd birthday on November 14, has two European senior champion titles to her name, which she earned in Budapest in 2022 and Zagreb in 2023. She became the first Romanian wrestler to claim the top spot on the European podium.

Despite being under the age of 23, the athlete from Mangalia competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and now has her sights set on Paris 2024.
