În limitele categoriei 56 Kg, Lucian a cucerit AURUL la total și la stilul smuls, cu 227 kg, respectiv 107 kg - nou record european, și BRONZUL, la stilul aruncat, cu 120 kg.

Three Medals for Romania in Weightlifting at the U17 European Championships

Lucian Cambei, a member of the National Olympic Junior Training Center in Bistrița, won three medals at the U17 European Junior Championships in Madrid.

Competing in the 56 kg category, Lucian secured:

·        Gold in the total ranking and in the snatch, with 227 kg and 107 kg respectively — the latter being a new European record, and

·        Bronze in the clean and jerk, with 120 kg.
