”Văd cum se mișcă lucrurile în natația mondială și direcția în care se îndreaptă acest fenomen.
”Este esențial să fim acolo - să putem asimila permanent tot ce e nou, să contribuim activ la dezvoltarea acestei mișcări formidabile din natația internațională.
”Îmi doresc să creștem și mai mult acest fenomen la nivel național și să dăm dovadă de unitate, consecvență și coerență. Mulțumesc tuturor celor care au crezut în viziunea mea și în capacitatea României de a contribui activ la viitorul natației mondiale'', a declarat Camelia Potec.

Președinta FRNPM a fost felicitată de fosta înotătoare, Kirsty Coventy, actuala președinta a Comitetului Internațional Olimpic, și de Thomas Bach, cel de la care Convetry a preluat oficial șefia CIO anul acesta, pe 23 iunie.

Camelia Potec Joins the Executive Bureau of World Aquatics

Camelia Potec, President of the Romanian Federation of Swimming and Modern Pentathlon and Vice President of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee, has been elected to the Executive Bureau of World Aquatics (WA) during the organization's Congress in Singapore, where the World Swimming Championships are currently taking place.

"This is a joyful moment for me. It was not a personal ambition, but a mission that I started with steady steps from my first term as president of FRNPM. I understand what it means and how important it is to have representation at the highest level. I see how things are evolving in global swimming and the direction this movement is heading. It is essential to be there — to constantly absorb all that is new, and to actively contribute to the development of this tremendous international swimming movement. I want us to grow this phenomenon even more at the national level and to demonstrate unity, consistency, and coherence. Thank you to all who believed in my vision and in Romania’s ability to actively contribute to the future of world swimming,” stated Camelia Potec.

Camelia Potec was congratulated by former swimmer Kirsty Coventry, current President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and Thomas Bach, from whom Coventry officially took over the IOC presidency on June 23 of this year.
